Joe Fisher founded Orion International in 1987 with the goal of offering business and industry a unique constellation of services and programs for improving individual and organizational effectiveness. Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the company specializes in advanced learning technologies designed to help organizations compete more effectively and to assist individuals and teams achieve high levels of satisfaction and fulfillment. A licensed psychologist, Dr. Fisher received a Ph.D. in Education and Psychology from the University of Michigan. For over 20 years, as president of a nationally known management training and consulting firm, he consulted for a diverse list of clients, such as Warner-Lambert; Schering-Plough; General Motors; Canatom; American Pharmaceutical Association; Lockheed Corp., and many others.

Dr. Fisher’s combination of experience in psychology, management, and organizational development has equipped him to assist executive leaders and their organizations in coping with change and transformation. During the past few years, much of his work has involved helping major organizations shift from bureaucratic to entrepreneurial paradigms. This movement is achieved through a carefully monitored cycle that includes strengthening an organization’s leadership, clarifying its vision, and empowering its employees.

One of the hallmarks of Orion is its top-down approach to organizational change, a highly successful sequence developed by Dr. Fisher and based on his years of consulting experience. The first phase typically involves one-on-one sessions designed to increase the leadership effectiveness of senior executives and their teams.
