Joanna Iwata has a rich and diverse background in education, training, and leadership arenas. She has held a variety of leadership positions in colleges and universities around the country.
Joanna currently designs, coordinates, and facilitates leadership training programs for non-profit and Fortune 500 corporate executives on areas related to organizational change, conflict management, creativity, performance development, and team building at the Center for Creative Leadership. She is trained in skills assessment and behavioral feedback with executive coaching.
Joanna has experience in training quality management practices and customer service information as a manager. In addition, Joanna has been involved with strategic planning efforts to address employee retention and employee productivity.
Her education background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and East Asian Studies, with a Master of Arts in Inter-American Studies. She has participated in the Stanford Institute of Intercultural Communication with additional work in planning and control for managers and total quality management.
Joanna is conversationally fluent in Spanish, Japanese, and Italian, has lived and worked in the Pacific Rim, and has traveled throughout Spain and Mexico.
