Brian Hall is an executive/organizational development consultant based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1998 he left the active-duty Air Force where he served on the faculty at the United States Air Force Academy as a leadership and character development educator for over 10 years. Brian is a senior adjunct consultant with Orion International, as well as serving as an adjunct faculty trainer, feedback provider and research associate with the Center for Creative Leadership, Colorado Springs Branch. Brian is also a key member of the Center's outdoor experiential training staff where he develops customized adventure-based learning programs tailored to each client's specific developmental needs.
Brian received his Ph.D. in lndustrial/Organizational Psychology at the State University of New York at Albany. The majority of Brian's research and training background is in the areas of organizational behavior and development, leadership, and team building. Brian also earned a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Pepperdine University.
Coupled with his research and instrument development experiences, Brian also provides feedback and counseling on a variety of personal and organizational assessment instruments. These assessment tools include, but are not limited to the Campbell Development Series, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, FIRO-B, California Psychological Inventory, Benchmarks, Executive Success Profile, and the Effective Leadership Index. He recently developed a 360-degree assessment tool, which measures moral and character development for the United States Air Force Academy.
In 1994, Brian began his own consulting/training firm called Impact Training and Development, Inc. The main focus of the company is to integrate assessment, theory, feedback and adventure-based learning into meaningful organizational, team and personal development. His list of clients includes General Motors, Exxon, EarthLink, Times Mirror, Arthur Andersen, Support Alliance Leadership Institute, National Computer Systems, Sun Microsystems, and many others. Brian recently developed a team-building and strategy simulation for executive teams in the British Virgin Islands. The course uses sailing and navigation as experiential metaphors for business applications. The course is also available for use on land here in the U.S.
